So I was looking for a simpler, more basic journal/diary, and I found this. So, here we go. PROS: - The aged paper and book is really nice. I love the ancient feel of it. - The sepia-toned cursive also gives it that handwritten feel - though for some it could be a con as its not the easiest to read. - Addition of photos and backing it up are both viable options in this unlabeled lite version. - Its fairly basic, which is nice when you get tired of all the bright bells and whistles of the others. CONS: - IT DOES NOT SAVE YOUR WORK. If you want to save your writing, youre supposed to click the Save-button in the corner. BUT THAT DOES NOT WORK EITHER. As soon as you close the app and come back a few hours later, your entry has been wiped clean. Not to mention all the times I didnt realize that I "had" to save it, so I just closed it expecting it to instasave like in Notes. Wrong choice. - Three out of the four options are not available and must be purchased. This includes the combination-lock, which I daresay would be one of the reasons that most people would want this in the first place as they would want their thoughts to be private. Its what diaries are for, no? Its much more basic and important than inserting photos, thats for sure. - Theres no search-option. Anywhere. You can look up dates, but not words. And I dont know about anyone else, but if Im looking for an entry about Great Aunt Elsie, Id really just like to search her name rather than having to remember the exact day she came to visit. So to wrap it up: Until they fix the glitches in this app, DO NOT DOWNLOAD. Itll just drive you crazy as you get on every day to write something new, only to find that the stuff you already wrote is erased.
